Storyboards

During high school, I became deeply interested in the art of filmmaking. While there are dozens of roles in the process of putting a concept on screen, one that stuck out to me most was the Storyboard Artist. It felt like a wonderful blend of sequential art and filmmaking. While I still have much to learn, it is exciting to see the growth between projects.

"Sugar Time" Storyboards, Spring 2024

My most recent project was drafting storyboards for the SCAD Senior Thesis film, "Sugar Time." The film was written and directed by Hyeonseo Chloe Jang, and went into production in May 2024. Completed and formatted using Procreate and Photoshop.

"TEN TOES DOWN" Storyboards, Fall 2023

This excerpt was from a series of storyboards created for a live-action Senior Thesis film at SCAD (currently in post-production), written and directed by Nehemiah Segure. Shot descriptions taken from the original script and shot list. Completed and formatted using Procreate and Photoshop.

"Next Up Forever" Animatic, Spring 2023

This animatic was created as part of a fictitious pitch for a music video using the song "Next Up Forever." The entire pitch package included a script outline and visual reference I used to envision what the first two minutes of the music video would look like. This project was my first complete experience using Storyboard Pro and allowed me to learn the basics and workflow of the software.

"Eyes of a Child" Storyboards, Winter/Spring 2023

This recent project was created for a 2023 Senior thesis film at SCAD. Someone on the project reached out, and I was happy to collaborate. The script I based these boards on was written by Lynn Churbaji and Kimberly Skye. Completed and formatted using Procreate and Photoshop.

"Hit and Run" Storyboards, Winter 2023

This project was an original story inspired by an original superhero character I have been developing for a few years, a teenage speedster named Lightning. This story is about two city construction workers debating their viewpoints on their new local superhero. While they both initially despised the hero, one later learns there is more to him than meets the eye... Completed using Procreate.
